Jupiter one is my new favorite band.  They are your new favorite band too and you don't even know it yet.  I was fortunate enough to get to see them play live at The Hotel Cafe 5/7 in LA.  7 of my friends came out to support the band not knowing the music, but went based on my reviews and nagging.  They were not disappointed and most of them bought the CD the next day.  Well maybe they didn't buy the CD, but they downloaded it or something like that.  The lead singer K Ishibashi donned an old school flight jumpsuit.  He jumped, gyrated, and rocked all through the night with boundless amount of energy, stunning lyrics and impeccable hair.  You better watch out because I think I might need to get me one of the jumpsuits.

Jupiter One is having success in the gaming world appearing on soundtracks for some kick ass video games for EA such as Madden NFL o8', NHL 08', FIFA 08' and Burnout Paradise.

Hip Cooks - A Cocktail Party

I have just signed up for a Hip Cooks class.  Where I will learn to prepare the perfect cocktail party.  You start off learning how to mix a number of beverages.  Hip Cooks claims to provide you with a hands-on cooking class in a relaxed setting.  They ban measurements and encourage tasting to tease your inner chef.  I am don't know if they will be able to tease my inner chef, but I am excited to finally learn how to mix a decent martini all while having fun with my girlfriends.  

My friends and I signed up for the Cocktail Party where we will learn to make a few great beverages:

• The perfect martini
• vanilla martini
• mojito
• caiprinhas
• lemon drops
• + 1 dessert drink

...and some delectable nibbles:

• Candied nuts
• Warm crab dip (I think we get that it would be warm)
• Leak & goat cheese tartlets (love that word)
• Crisp potato cakes w/ goat cheese and thyme
• Endive gorgonzola and roast pear
• Cups w/ caviar, creme fraiche and chive
• Warm goat cheese & nut-stuffed, proscuitto-wrapped dates
• Polenta slices w/ asparagus
• Tuna tartar on cucumber strips w/ wasabi roe
• Dark chocolate hearts w/ rasberry cream

When it is all said and done the class ends with a dinner party and hopefully a designated driver!
